Meaning:

I’m sure you have all heard the cliché saying “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.” Even with it being so overused, we still believe that it is quite true and worthy to live by. Beauty is depicted in many forms, not just visual. With that said, we decided that we should create our own version of the saying. Beauty has an audible presence, even if not seen. Why would we have so many different types of music in the world, if this idea doesn’t hold true?

Meaning:

A collaboration between us here at Acrylick and a Stencil Artist Segundo, the shirt is an attempt in finding an alternative to real bombs. We have always stressed the importance of non violence. What if the world was ran in such a way that the only thing we had to worry about a bomb attack was receiving a headache from loud music? There are definitely other alternatives to violence; we should all try to find the alternatives. The visual of this idea is wrapped around the shirt, so every one can see this concept from any angle.

Meaning:

Hip Hop is beautiful. One of our inspirations here at Acrylick is Hip Hop. This shirt was inspired by a classic Hip hop single “I used to love her”, similar to the song’s interpretation on this ever changing genre of music. We put our own spin on it. Hip Hop isn’t what it used to be. Even though there are many in the Genre that preserve, and evolve Hip Hop positively, by never letting it lose its true essence. Some are honestly doing damage to Hip Hop, taking away from what made it so beautiful in the first place.

Meaning:

Peace is often only depicted as an absence of hostilities. While that is true, it is far from complete. When hostility is not seen, many say that is peace. Not true at all, it basically means that the entities that are usually seen at conflict basically just came to an agreement that satisfies their own pride. That is not peace. Hostility and negative feelings are still there, but just held in and not spoken of. Peace should be seen more as complete and total harmony and tranquility. Our shirt defines peace the way we feel it should be seen as. It is much more then a symbol. Acrylick believes in respect to everyone no matter what creed, sex, race etc… Before there is peace, respect is needed. Without respect there is no true peace.

Meaning:

This six color design pays homage to one of our favorite films of all time, as well as who we believe to be the most inspiration film characters of all time. This shirt asks the question “what if”? What if the writer let Forest be apart of the emerging Hip Hop culture. In the film he was part of other notable momentous events, so why not the birth of hip-hop. Like the infamous movie quote states, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you'll never know what you will get”. This release is one of the many unexpected occurrences in life.

Meaning:

Sometimes what comes naturally is the most valuable. We are all gifted with a special skill or trait that distinguishes us from others. These are the traits that make us whom we are and build our individuality. This shirt is a spin off on environmental conservation shirts. We at Acrylick support environmental conservation, but this shirt is focused on individualistic conservation. We live in a world were some of us don’t appreciate each other for our differences. This should be changed.

Meaning:

An idea is not finished at its birth. Ideas lead to a number of other ideas. It is an evolution. The invention of the wheel, led to the invention of a push cart. That then led to creation of the wagon, and the wagon eventually led to the birth of the first automobile. This is growth, and what builds the world and keeps us going. So no matter how extraordinary a creation is, we must know that it originated from another idea. We emphasized this on our tee. The font is created around the idea of thought bubbles seen in comic strips. The Thought bubbles shown on the tee disintegrate into a pile of sand, signifying that all thoughts came from one.
